Warsaw Flying Club Helps in Haiti
The Warsaw Flying Club's Jon Fussle has joined the worldwide effort to help people in need in Haiti.  A Warsaw business associated with the Flying Club has donated the use of an aircraft for the effort.

Since Friday, Fussle has been flying nurses, doctors, aid workers, food, water, and blankets to the devastated city of Port-au-Prince.  Video, pictures, and other updates will arrive via the facebook feed to the right.

If you have been thinking of donating, this is a fund that will make it directly to Haiti.  They are in severe need of food, water, and (believe it or not) warm clothing.  100% of your donation will go directly to making a difference in the lives of some of the most desperate among us.

You can watch the progress of all the flights by clicking here.

Please consider donating to the Warsaw Flying Club's Haiti Relief Fund.  We need all the help we can get over the next week.

The incredible need in Haiti dwarfs any effort that one single operation or fund can do to make a difference.  But if the efforts we make saves one single life, relieves the pain and suffering of one child, or helps a single family... all of our efforts are worth it.

Give the Gift of Flight...
...or receive it. The Warsaw Flying Club offers a great deal on our Discovery Flight program.  You (or your loved one) will receive about 45 minutes of ground briefing from one of our expert flight instructors, a 40-45 minute flight in our training aircraft, a Pilot's Logbook to enter your first flight lesson, and a 6-month subscription to Flight Training Magazine.

The Discovery Flight is a great value, and the perfect first step for those who are interested in learning to fly.  The cost is only $119!  Start by clicking here to schedule your Discovery Flight.

With the upcoming fall and winter seasons, now is the best time to begin training for your Private Pilot's License or Instrument Rating.  The aircraft schedule is a bit more open, and the with the brisk air, your aircraft will perform better, fly smoother, and give you the valuable experience of flying in the snow!  In those less-than-perfect weather conditions, you can gain real in-cloud experience and train for your Instrument Rating.  Without it, your Private Pilot's License is simply a license to fly in perfect weather, and we know how often that comes around in Northern Indiana.  Contact us at the Warsaw Flying Club for more information on beginning your training!

Trans-Atlantic Adventures...
Ever wondered what it would be like to fly across the Atlantic in a small single-engine airplane?  Leaving France, he travelled through Guernsey, Scotland, Iceland, Greenland, Labrador and Newfoundland before reaching the northeast border of the United States.  Read about Jon Fussle and his trans-Atlantic flight in a Piper Malibu in the most recent edition of the Captain's Seat.

Starting in mid-November, the Warsaw Flying Club will have the first of a series of meetings about some exciting topics!  The first will be a debriefing/travelogue of the Trans-Atlantic flight, then an update on the changes here at the Flying Club, as well as the start of an instrument ground course, and even the building of a ClubHouse!  Stay tuned for those upcoming details.

Also, remember to stay politically active about General Aviation.  There is a lot of pressure in Washington, D.C. to tax the living blood from us, and if we do not stop them now, there will be nothing left for our children and grandchildren.  Go to GAservesAmerica.com>>

If you've been thinking about taking an introductory flight, or giving one as a gift, there is no better time than the present.  Contact us at the Warsaw Flying Club to schedule your flight!
