Club Changes To Be Aware Of
The rental rate for the Warrior is now $97/hour and for the 152s $85/hour. The 172 may be rented directly from Greg White for $65/hour and you pay for fuel at the end of your flight. Each member will also be assessed $100 with their March invoice. The assessment will allow the club to catch up and build enough cash to keep our vendors happy. In return you will receive credit for the $100 toward plane rental when the cash flow has improved. We expect that the credit should be available by October 2008.
Also, if a member deposits $500 and maintains that balance each month they will receive a $10/hour reduction off the airplane rental.
If you have questions regarding these changes please contact Lowell, Dave, or Harry. For information regarding your monthly statements you may call Jane Smoker at 574-269-6332.
It's time to put away the winter gear. Get out and enjoy the warmer weather and sunny skies!
Annual Flying Club Meeting 1.21.2008
Thank you to all the members for coming out for our annual
club meeting where we were able to hear about recent changes including the
addition of a new member to the board of directors. Lowell started the
meeting by introducing Harry Sheetz as the newest member on the board.
We are excited about having Harry and his flying expertise as a senior
advisor
to the overall operations of the flying club. Harry's main goal is to
help promote aviation throughout the community and share the knowledge he's
gained in over 17,000 hours of flying! Some of the other topics at the
meeting included a radio refresher course from Curt along with a quick
introduction on preheating operations for the chilly winter weather.
It was a good time of discussion and learning all while enjoying
some delicious chocolate chip cookies (a special thanks to Dr.
Dick's wife)!
