Jon Fussle Takes A Break...
More than four years ago, WFC's owner, founder, and President begun laying the groundwork for the formation of what we have today. On September 1st, Fussle appointed a board who could run the day-to-day operations of the Club and took a sabbatical from his position and most involvement in the Club for a little rest and relaxation as well as devoting some time to one of the biggest challenges to a professional pilot; upgrading to Captain. Until Thanksgiving, Lowell Owens is the President en Absentia, when Jon Fussle is scheduled to return.

Wedertz Passes Private Pilot Ride!
July
23, 2007 -- It turns out that July 23rd was a busy day for the Warsaw Flying
Club. Emil Wedertz passed his Private Pilot's checkride in the
afternoon up in South Bend. The checkride went off without a hitch and
it seems as if Emil's first step in his career path is off to a good start.
Wedertz is employed at the South Bend Regional Airport for Comair Airlines as a ramp agent. It keeps him close to the aircraft he one day hopes to fly as a pilot.
In the fall, he plans on attending (college in Iowa) to major in (major).
A New Cessna 172 Joins the WFC Fleet!
July 23, 2007 -- There is good news for the members of the Warsaw Flying Club! We have a new airplane! N2967E arrived at the Warsaw Municipal Airport under the cover of darkness in the early hours of Monday, July 23rd. To be precise, the delivery from its home base near Phoenix, Arizona was complete at 4:00am, just in time to begin the work week. It joins the Warsaw Flying Club's fleet of 3 Cessna 152s and a Piper Warrior.

The Cessna 172 is a four-seat aircraft, powered by a 160 horsepower Lycoming engine. The engine is boosted to 180 horsepower by way of the PowerFlow tuned exhaust system. It holds 40 usable gallons and sips just under 8 gallons an hour at 115 knots (131 MPH). It is equipped and certified in compliance with Instrument Flight Rules. It joins the Piper Warrior in creating the backbone of a Club with the ability to travel.
While it has just come online at the Club, it is already scheduled for a new interior, much like the Warrior and 7CT. Once it is complete, we will be holding an open-house to give the Kosciusko community an opportunity to come and see our proud fleet of aircraft.

N757CT Gets New Interior!
For those members who fly the Cessna's a lot,
there are a few words that will be music to your ears, and
butts: New seats and interior. That's right, N757CT, or
"Chuck Taylor", as it is affectionately known, now has new
leather seats and interior. The new seats provide support
and comfort that is completely absent in the original seats.
In a recent three-hour trip, Club President Jon Fussle said, "I
have been flying these Cessnas for more than a decade, and I've
never felt so comfortable in one than I do in this plane."
Incidentally, he is 6'3".
The addition of the all-leather interior and seats is a beautiful touch to an already well-equipped IFR certified aircraft. While they don't make the airplane fly any faster, it makes the time fly by. Sorry, we couldn't resist.
