Squawk Ident | Curt Hursey

Help us congratulate Warsaw Flying Club's newest Private Pilot, Curt Hursey! Curst first started flying with us in December of 2013, along-side his best friend Cory Cripe.

The two guys have done many lessons together, to encourage each other along their private pilot journey. Curt also had many one-on-one lessons with CFI Jon Fussle to help him prepare for his check ride at the end of August. “I enjoyed the one-on-one learning that Jon was able to give. Also being able to learn at your own pace and on your own schedule. Jon was very flexible on times around our work schedules and his encouragement was very helpful.”

Curt passed his check ride with ‘flying’ colors and is pumped about the new opportunities that are available to him now that he’s met his goal! He says the best thing about having his pilot’s license is having the freedom to travel without limits, along with the peace and quiet atmosphere the sky has to offer, away from the hustle and stress ground travel often brings. With his recent accomplishment, Curt is motivated to continue his flight training this winter, working toward his Instrument Rating. “Goals are very important to keep and follow. It keeps your mind expanding in new directions and allows you to focus on a specific task and achieve it, then move on to the next goal.”

Join us as we celebrate our newest pilot at this month’s Wings Night at Bennigan’s on Wednesday, September 17 at 7pm. For more information on our flight training program, visit warsawflyingclub.com or contact Katye Fussle at 574-606-5050 to schedule your lessons!
