Jon Fussle
President and
Senior Flight Instructor
(Currently on leave)
Jon Fussle has been
flying since 1995 and flight instructing since 2000 and has
more than 1,500 hours instructing. He has more than 8,000 hours total
and is a pilot for US Airways
Express. As an airline pilot, he receives constant recurrent training and a checkride with the FAA every six
months further ensures that he is performing at his best every day.
His passion to fly, and to teach others how to fly, has been the driving
force behind his work at the Warsaw Flying Club.

Harry Sheetz
Chief Flight Instructor
Harry Sheetz is the newest member to the flying club
staff. He brings over 30 years and 17,000 hours of corporate flying
experience. His desire is to help promote aviation throughout the
community and be a part of a club that can offer a safe and cost efficient
way to experience the joy of flight. Harry knows aviation from the
ground up and he offers a mature expertise and insight to the club which was
previously missing. His reputation precedes him as a respected
authority on all things aviation and we are excited to have him as part of
the Warsaw Flying Club staff and board of directors.

Dave
Dick
Director of Safety
Dave Dick is one of the most senior members at the Warsaw
Flying Club. He has been a pilot since 1977 and is a Commercial
Single-Engine rated pilot in both the United States and Canada. With over
600 hours of flight time between his Canada flying
and his more recent flying here in the States, Dave brings a wealth of
experience in aviation and medicine. The level of professionalism and
depth of experience in the Warsaw Flying Club staff is incomplete without
Dave on board.

Erik Fussle
Chief Flight Instructor
Erik Fussle has
been flying for more than 6 years. His first flight was on June 22, 2001,
when he started training for his Private Pilot license. Since then, he has
gained close to 1000 hours of flight experience, and has flown all over the
country including Denver, Austin, Chicago, and Orlando. Now, he is a
Commercial Pilot and FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument
privileges (CFII), and has accumulated over 500 hours of teaching experience
in the Warsaw area. He instructs full-time during the summer months and
part-time while he attends Purdue University in Fort Wayne to complete his
B.A. in Psychology. Erik has been a member of the Warsaw Flying Club since
its inception in 2004. He has a love for flying and is excited about
teaching people to fly.

WFC Hall of Fame
Karina Fussle (Holstad)
Chief Flight Instructor
March, 2005 to December, 2005
Karina
Holstad moved to Warsaw from Jackson, Mississippi in March, 2005 to take
a job as a Certified Flight Instructor with the Warsaw Flying Club. She was
quickly promoted to Chief Flight Instructor, and spent the remainder of the
year with the Warsaw Flying Club. She
moved to the United States from Norway in the fall of 2000 to attend one of
the most renowned schools in aviation, the University of North Dakota in
Grand Forks. On her way to graduating with a bachelor's degree in Airport
Management, Karina worked hard to become certified by the Federal Aviation
Administration in Private and Commercial Pilot's licenses for both Single
and Multi-Engine aircraft. She also earned her Instrument Rating in addition
to the licenses she had--and as a crowning achievement to her studies at
UND--became a Certified Flight Instructor. After spending almost a
year at the Warsaw Flying Club, Karina took a job in southern California as
a corporate and charter pilot. In May, 2006, Karina married David
Fussle, a flight instructor for the Warsaw Flying Club at the time.
The two met in Jackson Mississippi, where David was a cargo charter pilot.
The best of luck to Karina and her new husband in their future together.

David Fussle
Senior Flight Instructor
January, 2006 to June, 2006
One
of the most experienced pilots in the Club, David brought years of experience
to the table. With all the instructor ratings, including the
Multi-Engine Instructor rating (MEI), and more than four years of flight
instructing in the southeast, the addition of David Fussle was more than just
another instructor. Dave had nearly 4,000 hours flying all types of
aircraft including, but not limited to, the Cessna 210, 310, 421, Beech 18,
and Baron. Just before leaving the Warsaw Flying Club, David and
Karina got married. He then moved to Palm Springs, California to be
with his new bride and to help start a new charter company in southern
California. All the members of the Warsaw Flying Club wish David and
Karina Fussle the best in their future together!

Brett
Laub
Certificated Flight Instructor
June, 2006 to January 2007
Brett Laub came to the Warsaw Flying Club straight out of
Indiana State University. He graduated Indiana State University in 2006
in Terre Haute, Indiana. Originally from Elkhart, Brett came to the
Warsaw Flying Club straight from Brown Flying School at Indiana State, where
he worked as a professional flight instructor for a few weeks before
graduating. While at ISU,
he earned a 3.75 GPA in his major (Professional Aviation Flight Technology).
The rest of his grades weren't very impressive, so we just won't write about
that in here.
For seven months, Brett instructed at the Warsaw Flying Club. While
that is an exceptionally short period of time for anyone to instruct
anywhere (much less at the Warsaw Flying Club), Brett was hired with a
regional airline called Trans States Airways to fly the Embraer Regional Jet
and couldn't resist the temptation to fly a shiny new jet. Good luck,
Brett! We're going to miss you here at the Club and hope to see you
back in town soon!
