WFC Staff

WFC is here to provide the most experienced and personable instructors to the greater Warsaw area.  The instructors at Warsaw Flying Club are professional pilots, regardless of the stage they are at in their career, they are dedicated to their craft with thousands of hours experience.  Outstanding former Flight Instructors have been added to Warsaw Flying Club's Hall of Fame, check it out!

Captain Jon Fussle
President

Jon Fussle has been flying since 1995 and flight instructing since 2000 and has more than 2,500 hours instructing.  In 2004, he started the Warsaw Flying Club by selling everything he owned to buy N24939.  He has over 10,000 hours of flight time and is a retired Captain for US Airways Express.  His passion to fly, and to teach others how to fly, has been the driving force behind his work at the Warsaw Flying Club.  He writes a periodical column called the Captain's SeatMore on Capt. Jon Fussle.

Erik Fussle
Chief Flight Instructor

Erik Fussle has been flying for more than 6 years.  His first flight was on June 22, 2001, when he started training for his Private Pilot license.  Since then, he has gained close to 1200 hours of flight experience, and has flown all over the country including Denver, Austin, Chicago, and Orlando.  Now, he is a Commercial Pilot and FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument privileges (CFII), and has accumulated over 800 hours of teaching experience in the Warsaw area.  He instructs full-time during the summer months and part-time while he attends Purdue University in Fort Wayne to complete his B.A. in Psychology. Erik has been a member of the Warsaw Flying Club since its inception in 2004.  He has a love for flying and is excited about teaching people to fly.  More on Erik Fussle.

Kenny Keller
Helicopter Instructor

Kenny Keller is a professional helicopter pilot for an emergency medical service in South Bend.  He started flying in 1997 with his first helicopter lesson, and from that day he was hooked.  The action and challenges on the EMS job, though, don't satisfy Kenny's desire to teach people to fly.  In that sense, he makes for a perfect fit here at the Club.  He's got nearly 3000 hours of flight time, and in 2004 he got his fixed-wing (airplane) pilot's license.  When he was looking for a place to fly airplanes, he came across the Warsaw Flying Club, and became one of the first ten people to join the Club!  It is only natural that he rejoins us to teach our members to fly helicopters.  He's taught some 60 pilots in northern Indiana, and has since earned the reputation as "the finisher."  This is the kind of guy we like as an instructor here at the Club.  Welcome, Kenny!  More on Kenny Keller.
